My name is Tonia Arevalo and I currently teach seventh grade math at Millswood Middle School in Lodi Unified School District. I began my teaching career at the preschool level while earning my degree at California State University, Sacramento. Upon completion, I was accepted into the Apsire Residency Program where I spent one year studying and teaching kindergarten under a master teacher while earning my credential and Master's Degree from the University of the Pacific. I was hired to teach at the fourth and fifth grade levels for Vincent Shalvey Academy, Aspire where I spend the next two years. Through teaching at Aspire I discovered a strong passion for teaching mathematics and I adjusted my career path to take me in that direction. I have had wonderful training along my journey and I continue to grow as an educator. I am thankful to be a teacher and for the opportunity to guide students in their learning every day.
